Habitat for Humanity Home in Lake Worth

J. Norris
Palm Beach County, Florida
July 18th , 2012

Members from PBCFR attended a volunteer build and a dedication of a Habitat for Humanity home on Saturday.
The warm weather made for an intense build at the site - 34 S. D. street in Lake Worth FL. PBCFR Fire Chief Steve Jerauld and Fleet Director Tim Calhoun joined several other volunteers to erect the walls of the 3 bedroom house which will soon be the home a deserving family. They did get a mid morning break when they walked two blocks away for a dedication of another recently finished home in the community. The dedication was a great way to see how their efforts at the build will pay off.

The photos show an empty slab at the beginning of the day and the framing in place at the end of the work day. An additional photo is from the dedication. Habitat for Humanity is building several homes in the Lake Worth area. The project has a deadline of January 2013 so they need all the help they can get to finish an additional 19 homes.
