On Tuesday May 1st 2012 at 2208 hours, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units responded to a reported commercial structure fire at Brake World located at 1213 N State Road 7 in Royal Palm Beach. Reports to Dispatch from the Sheriffs Office unit on scene advised an audible alarm with smoke showing. Platform 29 arrived shortly after and reported " heavy smoke from side A & C of a 1 story commercial auto repair facility". Units opened numerous overhead doors to gain access to the fire which was discovered to be a pick up truck inside the building.Quick action by the units on scene prevented the fire from extending to the remainder of the facility.The fire was placed under control in under 30 minutes and the origin being investigated.
