14 Students recently attended the 32 hour National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program here at HQ. The students in the class were from Bethesda Hospital and Wellington Hospital, Boca Raton and Boynton Beach Fire Rescue, among those from other Organizations. Bob Smallacombe, Jeff Heinz, and Elyse Brown from BOSS’s Pub Ed Section were Instructors alongside Lead Instructor Kelly Powell from the Palm Beach County Safe Kids Coalition. Upon successful completion of the course and required skills tests, these newly certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians can assist citizens with their car seat installation challenges.  If anyone is interested in attending any future Child Passenger Safety Certification Courses, you can call or email any of the Fire Safety Specialists in BOSS’s Public Education Section.
