Confined Space Training

Story and photos by Staff Capt Houston Park
Palm Beach County, Florida
January 17th , 2006

Just days before Christmas and all through the confined spaces not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, but Special Operations and the Quints were training with Chief Bouse.

The quint and Special Operations personnel participated in some confined space rescue training at the South County Regional Wate Treatment facility. Emphasis was placed on sharing resources and working together in a confined space atmosphere. Crews rigged equipment and PPE to make entry into a real confined space. The training was a success and we look forward to future training with the teams. District Chiefs Bouse and Anderson and Staff Captain Park delivered the training over three days. A special thanks to the WaterTreatment Department for their assistance and allowing us to use their facility.
