We are buying a commercial building. How would I find out if there are any outstanding violations on the property?
Fire Inspection Records are considered public records. Any requests for copies of inspection records must be made in writing on company letterhead if available, but in writing nonetheless. A copy of the last inspection and any other pertinent information regarding the property is sent to the requestor via US Mail or Facsimile, whichever they prefer.
Where can I get my fire extinguisher serviced?
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue does not service fire extinguishers. You will need to consult the Yellow Pages under "Fire Protection Equipment" to find a company which services fire extinguishers.
Can I burn trash or yard waste in Palm Beach County?
No, open burning of yard waste is prohibited in Palm Beach County. Although, in specific circumstances it is permitted. Burning permits are required for commercial, residential and agricultural land clearing purposes. As a courtesy to the public, applications for open burning permits are available at all Palm Beach County Fire Rescue stations. To find a station near you, click this link .
What is the proper storage of gasoline?
Gas should be stored in approved containers only. Containers designed for the storage of gas. Not milk jugs, water containers or other non-approved vessels.
