Overview:
Our Fire Plan Review office reviews construction plans for fire-code compliance.Our offices are located within Palm Beach County's Planning, Zoning and Building Department offices in order to provide a customer-friendly permitting application process.

Fire Plan Reviewers:
Our Fire Plan Reviewers are responsible for reviewing building plans for fire code compliance in both commercial and multi-family dwellings. We provide these services for unincorporated Palm Beach county and Belle Glade, Cloud Lake, Glen Ridge, Haverhill, Jupiter, Juno Beach, Lake Clarke Shores, Lake Park, Lantana, Manalapan, Pahokee, Royal Palm Beach, South Bay, South Palm Beach and Wellington. Dispatch Services for: Jupiter Inlet Colony, Lake Worth, Mangonia Park, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta and West Palm Beach.

In order to better serve the western communities, we have opened a satellite office that houses a fire Plan Reviewer and Inspector at the Village of Wellington Building Department. The phone number for the Wellington office is 5617532503.

New Construction Inspections:
Our New Construction Inspectors are responsible for inspecting buildings through the construction process until the building has been issued a Certificate of Occupancy to verify work is done in compliance with the approved building plans. Additionally, any renovations that occur in existing structures are also inspected by our staff. All of our inspectors are highly experienced in the fire code and building construction.

Water Office Staff:
Our Water Officers are charged with fire code enforcement of public and private water distribution systems and rural water supply.

Some of the responsibilities of the Water Officer include:
  • fire plan review,
  • flow testing,
  • dry hydrant testing,
  • identification and approval of static water supplies, and
  • alternative water supplies for commercial construction contractors and insurance companies.
